Browsing hazards

To access the Browse Hazards window, click the Hazards icon on the toolbar.

The Browse Hazards window lists the hazards that have been identified within your company or site. From this window, you can add new hazard records, update or reassess existing hazards and generate hazard reports.

• By Re-assessment Due Date tab

  Displays existing hazards in chronological order according to when they are due to be re-assessed. Use this tab in conjunction with the New-Unassessed, Significant Hazards, Not Significant or the Eliminated tab on the right of the browse window.

• For Department tab

  Displays the hazards found within a particular department or the hazards for which a particular department has been given responsibility for this hazard. Select the department whose hazards you want to view from the Department dropdown list.

   

  Use this tab in conjunction with the New-Unassessed, Significant Hazards, Not Significant or the Eliminated tab on the right of the browse window.

• For Location tab

  Displays the hazards found within a particular location within the workplace. Select the location whose hazards you want to view from the Location dropdown list.

   

  Use this tab in conjunction with the New-Unassessed, Significant Hazards, Not Significant or the Eliminated tab on the right of the browse window.

• By Hazard # tab

  Displays hazards according to the number they have been assigned when added to the SafetyLink Risk Manager. Use this tab in conjunction with the New-Unassessed, Significant Hazards, Not Significant or the Eliminated tab on the right of the browse window.

• By Risk Rating tab

  Displays hazards according to the risk rating they have been assigned by the company's risk rating method. Use this tab in conjunction with the New-Unassessed, Significant Hazards, Not Significant or the Eliminated tab on the right of the browse window.

• New-Unassessed tab

  Displays hazards which have been added to your database using H&S Compliance Manager but which have not yet been assessed. Use this tab in conjunction with the By Re-assessment Due Date, the For Department, the For Location, the By Hazard # and the By Risk Rating tabs.

• Significant Hazards tab

  Displays hazards which have been assessed as being significant. Use this tab in conjunction with the By Re-assessment Due Date, the For Department, the For Location, the By Hazard # and the By Risk Rating tabs.

• Not Significant tab

  Displays hazards which have been assessed as not being significant. Use this tab in conjunction with the By Re-assessment Due Date, the For Department, the For Location, the By Hazard # and the By Risk Rating tabs.

• Eliminated tab

  Displays those hazards that have been assessed as having been eliminated. Use this tab in conjunction with the By Re-assessment Due Date, the For Department, the For Location, the By Hazard # and the By Risk Rating tabs.

• Add Hazard

  Used to add a new hazard record.

• Change/Assess

  Used to update a hazard record, including reassessing an existing hazard.

• Delete Hazard

  Used to delete a hazard record. This can only be done once a hazard has been eliminated.

• VCR control buttons

  Used to move up and down the entries on the browse list.

   

  

• Tag buttons

  The tag buttons are used to select records for printing.

   

  Procedure		Description
  Tag /Untag		If the current record is not tagged, tag current record. If the current record is tagged, un-tag current record. All tagged records will have a tick against them in the browse.
  Tag All		Tags all records selected for the current tab.
  Untag All		Untags all tagged records.
  Invert Tags		Untags all tagged records and tags all untagged records. This is useful for tagging all but a few records.
  		Display all the records whether tagged or not.
  		Displays only tagged records in browse.
  		Displays only untagged records in browse.

   

• Hazard Reports

  Used to generate reports on hazards within your company or site.
