To access this tab: Click the Hazards icon
on the toolbar, then click Add Hazard or Change/Assess. Select the Assess/Review tab.
Use this tab to assess the significance of the hazard using the chosen risk rating method.
Enter the date the hazard was assessed or click the calendar lookup button
and select a date.
Select the name of the person who did the assessment or review using lookup button
.
Select the severity of the potential harmthat could arise from this hazard. Note: these choices may be different if you have a customised version of the SafetyLink Risk Manager.
Select the likelihood of harm if the hazardous condition does arise. These choices may be different if you have a customised version of the SafetyLink Risk Manager.
A measure of how often the harm is likely to occur.
The Risk Rating is computed by the SafetyLink Risk Manager as Severity * Likelihood * Exposure. This provides an arbitrary but systematic rating to measure comparative risks. The rating is automatically computed using the risk rating method selected by your company.
This indicates, firstly, if there is a hazard, secondly, if it is significant and, thirdly, the management strategy in use. Selecting a level is the act of assessment and is mandatory. Select from the dropdown list.
Enter the number of days between assessment reviews. Initially, the first assessment is due on the date it is identified, Thereafter, it should be reviewed regularly until it is eliminated, especially if the hazard is significant.
The next review is calculated automatically as the current assessment date + Review Frequency days when the current review is saved. If you wish to override this date either enter another date or click the calendar lookup
and select another date.
